A PDF converter built for document workflows

A PDF is designed to keep a page looking consistent, but that does not make its text convenient to edit. When a report, application, contract draft, article or research paper needs changes, a document format can be a much more useful working copy. GetTransfy’s PDF converter focuses this page on document outputs rather than mixing document conversion with a separate image-conversion workflow.

Upload a PDF and the output selector appears directly on the file row. The format panel follows the document-converter pattern: a searchable format area, a Document category and clear choices such as DOC, DOCX, MD, ODT, PDF, RTF, TEX and TXT. This makes the target obvious before processing instead of hiding it behind a generic conversion button.

Choose the document format that fits the job

DOCX is a practical choice for editing in modern word processors. DOC is useful when a Word-compatible document is needed. ODT works with open document workflows, RTF is useful for broadly compatible formatted text, TXT removes formatting for simple text reuse, Markdown is convenient for documentation and structured notes, and TEX is useful when the extracted content is going into a LaTeX workflow. PDF remains available when you need a page-oriented copy or want to select and rebuild pages.

Per-file format selectionChoose DOCX for one PDF and TXT or Markdown for another in the same queue.
Page-range conversionProcess the full file or enter ranges such as 1-4, 8, 12-15.
Combine into one documentJoin text from multiple PDFs into a single document output when the workflow calls for it.
Page-aware exportsKeep page breaks so the document still shows where the source PDF changed pages.

PDF to DOCX and DOC

Word conversion is most useful when the source PDF contains a real text layer. The converter reads that text and rebuilds it into a clean document structure with paragraphs and page breaks. Because PDF is a fixed-layout format, no browser-based converter can guarantee a pixel-perfect reconstruction of every complex table, floating object or unusual font. The tool therefore avoids promising that every visual element will map one-to-one.

PDF to ODT, RTF, TXT, Markdown and TEX

These formats serve different document workflows. RTF keeps basic text styling while remaining widely readable. ODT is an open document format. TXT is intentionally plain. Markdown preserves a lightweight text structure, and TEX provides an editable source-style document for users who work with LaTeX. The same extracted text can be exported to the format that fits the next step instead of forcing every task through Word.

PDF & document converter questions

Can I convert PDF to DOCX?

Yes. Select DOCX from the Document format panel. Text-based PDFs are reconstructed into editable Word-compatible content with paragraph structure and optional page breaks.

Can I convert PDF to DOC?

Yes. DOC is available as a Word-compatible document output. Because legacy DOC is a binary format, the browser build produces a Word-readable rich-text document using the .doc extension rather than pretending it is a native modern DOCX file.

Can I convert PDF to ODT or RTF?

Yes. ODT and RTF are available document outputs and are generated from the extracted PDF text.

Can I convert PDF to TXT, Markdown or TEX?

Yes. These outputs are useful when you want clean text, documentation-ready Markdown or LaTeX source-style content instead of a word-processing file.

Can I choose only certain PDF pages?

Yes. Enter ranges such as 1-5, 8, 11-14. The selected pages are used for the document output.

Can I combine multiple PDFs?

Yes. Enable Combine files to create one document from several PDF text layers. If PDF is selected as the output, the source pages can also be merged into a new PDF.

Does it convert scanned PDFs?

Scanned PDFs need OCR because their text is stored as page images. This document converter does not claim ordinary text extraction can turn image pixels into editable words.
