EPS format details
- EPS is a PostScript container that includes rendered pixels from your source image.
- Transparent pixels are rendered using the selected background colour.
- Animated images become one still frame.
- Output is a flattened raster image; layers and editable vectors are not preserved.

How to convert your images
Use the same workflow for a single photo, product images or a folder of screenshots. No installation is needed.
Add your images
Select files from your device or drag them into the converter. You can mix supported image types in the same batch.
Choose the output
Choose JPG, BMP or WebP beside each file, or use one batch format. Open Options on any row to set that image’s quality, maximum dimensions and EPS background colour.
Convert and download
Check each result’s dimensions and file size. Download images individually or save all successful conversions in one ZIP file.
Why convert an image to EPS?
The right format depends on what is in the image and where it will be used. Converting a file does not automatically make it smaller or sharper.
Print-ready PostScript container
EPS is widely used in print and graphics workflows. This browser tool places a rendered raster image inside an EPS container; it does not trace pixels into editable vector paths.
A practical print container
Useful for screenshots, diagrams and graphics with transparent areas. EPS output uses lossless compression, but converting a JPG to BMP cannot restore details already lost.
When EPS is required
Choose EPS when a print or graphics workflow specifically accepts EPS. For editable vectors, use a dedicated vector tracing application.
What this converter supports
| Feature | Support |
|---|---|
| Input images | JPG/JPEG/JFIF, BMP, WebP, GIF, BMP; AVIF when your browser can decode it |
| Output images | BMP, BMP, GIF, ICO, TIFF, PSD, EPS and PS; JPG, WebP and AVIF when supported by your browser |
| Batch size | 30 images; 25 MB per image; 150 MB total input and 150 MB total output |
| Image dimensions | Input: up to 24 megapixels and 12,000 px per side. Output: up to 16 megapixels and 8,192 px per side |
| Animation | A single still image; animation is not preserved |
| Unsupported inputs | HEIC/HEIF, TIFF, SVG, PSD, RAW and PDF |
Keep control of quality and file size
Start with the default quality setting, then inspect the result. A lower JPG or WebP quality can reduce file size, but may also introduce visible artefacts around text or fine details. Use BMP when keeping those details matters more than saving space.
For a smaller image, choose “Fit within a maximum size”. A 4,000 × 3,000 photo fitted within 1,920 × 1,920 becomes 1,920 × 1,440. The converter keeps the aspect ratio and does not crop or enlarge your image. Set dimensions in Batch settings, or open a file’s Options to resize that image only. Custom file options remain in effect until you select Use batch settings in that file’s Options.
Your files stay on your device. The converter reads the files you select and creates downloads in your browser. It does not send image files to a conversion server or save them to an account. Clear the queue or close the page when you finish.
Use original files for print or colour-critical work. This tool creates browser-rendered images and does not preserve original EXIF metadata, camera information, colour profiles, layers or print-DPI settings.
BMP conversion notes
| Conversion | When to use it | Before you download |
|---|---|---|
| JPG to BMP | Create an EPS copy for a print or graphics workflow. | Choose a background colour for transparent source pixels. |
| PNG to EPS | Place screenshots and graphics in an EPS container. | Expect a larger file than PNG in many cases. |
| JPG to BMP | Create a EPS copy for a workflow that requires it. | The file may grow; missing detail and transparency are not restored. |
| WebP to EPS | Use a WebP image in an EPS workflow. | Transparency is rendered using the background colour. |
| GIF to EPS | Create a still EPS from a GIF. | Animated GIFs become one frame. |
Add mixed source formats in one batch. Set the background colour and optional maximum dimensions, then select Convert images. Your originals remain unchanged.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert several images at once?
Yes. Add up to 30 images, choose a batch output format and select Convert images. Each file has its own output-format selector and Options button. Use batch settings for a consistent result, or customise individual images before converting. Download the successful results separately or together as a ZIP.
Is this image converter free?
Yes. This converter has no payment step, account requirement or watermark. The file, batch and image-dimension limits shown above help keep conversion manageable on your device.
Will converting my image reduce its quality?
EPS output is uncompressed after rendering, but it cannot restore detail already lost in a compressed source such as JPG or WebP. Resizing, colour handling and earlier compression can still affect the result; converting a low-resolution image cannot recover missing detail.
How do I convert WebP to JPG or BMP?
Add your WebP images, confirm BMP is selected as the output, choose a background colour if needed, then convert and download the results.
Can I convert HEIC photos from an iPhone?
This version does not decode HEIC or HEIF files. Export a JPEG, PNG or EPS copy from your photo app first, then add that file here. Renaming a .heic file to .jpg does not convert it.
Why is my converted file larger?
File size depends on dimensions, content, quality and compression. A BMP made from a JPG can be much larger. A high-quality WebP may also exceed the original size. Lower the JPG/WebP quality or resize the image if a smaller download is your priority.
Why did one image fail to convert?
The file may be damaged, unsupported by your browser or larger than the size limits. Other valid files in the batch can still finish. Read the message beside the failed file, try smaller dimensions or use a supported JPG, BMP or WebP original.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, in browsers that support the required image formats. Tap Select images to open your device’s file picker. For large photos, use smaller batches on phones. Your browser may ask where to save an image or a ZIP file.
