Layout-aware rendering
Headings, paragraphs, tables, images, lists and document styling are rendered through a DOCX preview layer before PDF generation.
Convert DOCX files to PDF with a clean, print-ready workflow. Add one document or a batch, choose output settings, convert in sequence, and download the finished PDFs.
Or choose Word documents from your device. Multiple files are supported.
A Word document is more than plain text. DOCX is an Open XML package containing document structure, styles, relationships, images and other parts. This converter renders the document before creating the PDF instead of flattening it into a basic text-only file.

Add multiple DOCX files and process them sequentially. This avoids launching every conversion at once and helps keep browser memory under control.
Choose print or screen optimization, page size, image quality, margins and an optional page range before conversion.
GetTransfy is designed to keep the conversion flow simple while still giving you practical controls. Select your DOCX file, or drag several Word documents into the converter. Each file appears in the queue with its name and status, so you can see exactly what is waiting, converting or finished.
Click Choose DOCX files or drag and drop documents into the upload area. The converter accepts the modern Microsoft Word .docx format. If a file is damaged, encrypted in a way the browser renderer cannot open, or is not actually a DOCX package, the individual file is reported as an error instead of stopping the whole queue.
Use Print quality when the PDF is intended for paper or formal sharing, or choose Screen & smaller file when compact viewing is more important. You can keep the document's rendered page size or target common A4, Letter or Legal pages. The optional page range is useful when you only need part of a long document.
Start the conversion and the progress indicator appears only while work is active. Documents are processed one at a time. When a file finishes, its PDF download becomes available. After a batch is complete, you can also download the finished PDFs together as a ZIP archive.
The browser rendering approach is intended to retain visible document structure rather than extracting only words. Depending on the DOCX, that can include headings, paragraph formatting, lists, tables, images, spacing, page breaks, headers and footers. DOCX rendering libraries themselves acknowledge that the goal is to reproduce the document as HTML and that browser capabilities can limit exact Microsoft Word fidelity.
A browser renderer is not Microsoft Word. Advanced Word features such as unusual SmartArt, embedded Office objects, unsupported fields, some tracked-change behavior, complex floating layouts, proprietary fonts or highly specialized page effects may not reproduce exactly. The converter is designed to provide a practical, client-side DOCX-to-PDF workflow without claiming perfect equivalence for every Word feature.
Directly turning DOCX XML into plain text can lose the visual hierarchy that makes a document useful. A rendered-page workflow first interprets the Word document and then captures the resulting page layout for PDF output. The final PDF is therefore page-oriented, which is especially useful for reports, proposals, resumes, forms, invoices and documents containing tables or images.
Clear answers before you convert.
Yes. You can add multiple documents. GetTransfy processes them sequentially and provides an individual PDF download for each completed file, plus a ZIP option after successful conversions.
The conversion uses a browser-side DOCX renderer and captures the rendered document pages. Tables and images supported by that renderer can therefore appear in the PDF. Very complex Word-only features may differ.
Yes. Enter a starting page and optional ending page. Leave the end page empty to continue through the final rendered page.
Print mode uses a higher rendering scale for sharper output. Screen mode uses a lower scale to reduce the generated PDF's image weight and improve browser-friendly file size.
This page is specifically for DOCX. The older binary .doc format is a different file structure and should be handled by a dedicated DOC converter rather than being mislabeled as DOCX.
The conversion workflow on this page runs in the browser and does not send the selected DOCX to a GetTransfy conversion API. The page does load third-party JavaScript libraries required for rendering, so this should not be described as a fully self-contained offline application.
